CS2 charms, introduced in the Armory update, bring a new layer of personalization to Counter-Strike 2. These small keychains can be attached to weapons, offering players a creative way to express themselves beyond using stickers. Charms range from miniatures of popular CS weapons like the AK-47 and AWP to playful icons and humorous characters that reflect the game’s player culture, memes, and inside jokes.

Unlike CS2 stickers, which have fixed positions, charms can be attached almost anywhere on a weapon, giving players greater freedom in designing their loadout. This flexibility allows players to explore different combinations and create unique looks that stand out during gameplay, adding a fun and personal touch to their arsenal.

Want to learn more about this new addition to the game? Here’s everything you need to know about CS2 charms!

What Are CS2 Charms?

CS2 charms are new cosmetic items that players can attach to their weapons in Counter-Strike 2, adding a unique touch of personality to their arsenal. These 3D figures can be placed anywhere on a weapon, even on top of stickers, offering endless customization possibilities. Charms in CS2 at the moment come in two collections: Missing Link Charms and Small Arms Charms.

Missing Link Charms feature tiny characters or whimsical icons, such as the playful Chicken Lil’ or the robust Big Kev. These charms add a fun and quirky element to your weapon, making them stand out in the heat of battle. On the other hand, Small Arms Charms are miniature versions of iconic weapons from Counter-Strike history.

Obtaining Charms

Acquiring charms in CS2 is a straightforward process and is mostly done through the new armory pass, where they are available for purchase using Armory Credits. To earn Armory Credits, players must have an active Armory Pass, which costs $16 and is exclusive to those with CS2 Prime Status. Once the pass is active, players can accumulate Armory Credits by gaining XP, with approximately 300 XP required to earn one Credit.

Each charm in the Armory costs 3 Credits, and come in two different charm capsules. Just like the sticker capsules, opening a single charm capsule will reward you with one randomly selected charm from the collection of your choice.

How to Attach CS2 Charms and Move Them Between Weapons?

Once players unlock charms, they can attach them to any weapon skin. This process is simple: charms can be positioned freely on the weapon, unlike stickers that have set slots. This freedom allows players to strategically place charms in a way that maximizes the weapon’s appearance.

Additionally, CS2 offers tools that enable players to detach and move charms between different weapons. However, these tools are limited in use, and each tool can only transfer charms a certain number of times. As a result, players need to plan their charm placements carefully, balancing flexibility with the cost of acquiring new tools.

Combining CS2 Charms and Stickers

CS2 charms are compatible with stickers, offering a deeper level of customization. Players are not restricted to using only one type of decoration; they can mix and match both charms and stickers on the same weapon skin. Thanks to this feature players can create diverse and unique designs, allowing them to experiment with various themes, colors, and aesthetics.

Although charms in CS2 are a new, freshly added feature, gamers have already combined charms and stickers to create awesome and new designs. At this point, players have so many different customization options, you can now create virtually any design you want, with the right CS2 stickers and charms.

Trading Charms in CS2

Once players obtain charms through the Armory Pass or from the Steam Community Market, they can trade, buy, or sell CS2 skins with charms attached, allowing them to manage and expand their collections. Charms follow the same trade policies as other in-game items, including a seven-day Steam trade hold after acquisition.

For those interested in trading, charms present an opportunity to expand their inventories and potentially profit. The charm market is influenced by factors such as rarity, design appeal, and player demand, meaning that limited-edition or exclusive charms could become highly valuable.

Currently, the CS2 charms come in four different rarities, which work similarly to CS2 wear level ratings. These rarity levels are:

  • High Grade
  • Remarkable
  • Exotic
  • Extraordinary
