You can check the status of your Steam Guard in the "Account Security" section by clicking: Steam Home > Account Details > Account Security. You need to see the green shield with the "Protected by Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator" description. You can also check your Steam Guard status via mobile app. On your phone, open the Steam app. Click on the shield icon in the middle of the menu bar at the bottom of the main page. If your Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator is active, you will see an option to scan a QR code.

If you suspect your Steam account has been compromised, you can protect it to make sure no unauthorized person is logged in. To secure your account, follow these steps: change your password, deauthorize all other sessions, revoke your Steam API Key, change your Trade URL.

To activate Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator, first you have to download the Steam App on your phone. It is an essential step to enable Steam Guard. If you already have the Steam app, to activate Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator, please follow these steps: open the Steam app on your phone, click on the shield icon in the middle of the menu bar at the bottom of the main page, click "Add authenticator" at the bottom of the page, enter your phone number and click "Next", Steam will send you a code to verify your phone number, enter the code and click "Verify code", Steam will show you a recovery code, please save it in a safe place, and do not share it anywhere.

Steam Guard is an additional level of security that can be applied to your Steam account. The first level of security on your account is your login credentials: your Steam account name and password. With Steam Guard, a second level of security is applied to your account, making it harder for your Steam account to fall into the wrong hands.
