What Other Features Came With The Update?
The new Fever Case skins are definitely the most important feature added in the update. However, the Fever Case isn’t the only new thing introduced in this patch. Here are all the features that came with the new CS2 update:
New Armory Content
One of the biggest new features added in the CS2 updates was the CS2 Armory. Similar to a battle pass in other online games, players can purchase access to the CS2 Armory, where they can complete in-game quests to score armory stars, which can be later traded for various rewards. There are many different choices of rewards available to players, such as stickers, CS2 charms, and even rare skin for those who collect enough stars!
While previously the prized skin from the Armory was the coveted Blue Gem Desert Eagle Heat Treated, this has been replaced in the latest update with the XM1014 Solitude. Just like the previous skin, to unlock XM1014 Soltitude, you’ll need to gather 25 armory stars.
Train 2025 Collection
Believe it or not, the Fever Case isn’t the only skin collection that was added to the game in this update. The latest update has also added a completely new skin collection, the Train 2025 Collection.
Although there already is a Train collection in the game, the 2025 variant includes a number of skins that definitely look far more impressive than the previous selection.
Map Changes
Outside of new CS2 skins, the latest update has also added a number of changes to some of the active duty maps currently available in the ranked CS2 gameplay. The two maps that received were Inferno and Train map. Here is a brief rundown of all the patch notes regarding the map changes:
Inferno:
- Adjusted Banana to more closely match the size of the CS:GO version
- Simplified background behind T ramp
- Simplified view into Pit
- Simplified background of Bombsite B
- Removed step on sides of Arch hallway
- Removed pixel gap at Coffin
